It’s 2pm on Sunday December 23rd and my contractions are going strong. Actually they have been going strong since 2am this morning, but I wasn’t sure this was going to be “it” till about 5am. At 5am that’s when I decided that today was going to have to be a “super” productive day. So I was up and out the door ready to take on all the church work that I should have done a week (or a few weeks ago) but don’t.
So after navigating two worship services and a Sunday School hour this morning, I am assembling Sunday School curriculum for the first 3 months of 2013, responding to over-due emails, ordering supplies online, and telling you all about it:)
Why do I do this to myself? This procrastination, too much on my plate thing. Seriously, I am 36 years old and should (and do) know better, yet I always find myself in this tight spot. (I mean I still don’t have the base of the car seat installed in my car nor have we bought any baby wipes or some other of the small baby essentials). If it was up to me, I would have probably postponed labor a few different times 🙂
So, here I am at 3pm…..contractions are 11 minutes or so apart. I probably should head home and wash the baby clothes (yes, that isn’t done either) or maybe put a crib sheet on the crib (that did get assembled when the hubby thought 2 weeks ago that my Braxton Hicks might really be it this time). Yep, this seems to be how my family rolls…
